A Heart Attack Doesn't Mean The End Of Life

Why do we take our hearts for granted?

Why do we abuse them, expecting them to perform inspite of all we do?

Why do we wait until some tragic thing happens to realize how fragile a heart truly is?

How easy is it to damage a heart and to break those of our loved ones?

Believe me, it is a ghastly sight when your wife and your three young children cry over you in a hospital. It feels so cruel when you realize that you're the cause of their anxiety and their grief. It is even more painful when you know you're helpless. Although my hear attack happened ten years ago, I can picture it so clearly as if it happened only yesterday.

I learnt my lesson the hard way, had I then known what I know now, the trauma could have been avoided. I'll go out of my way to share what I've learnt by publishing a series of free articles. Idea being to prove that a heart attack or indeed any other disease can be avoided and also easily managed. Also to show how Iost health can be easily regained by making simple corrections to the lifestyle we live. As a result, I was able to play competitive sport within three months of my heart attack.

It is quite normal to be healthy and to be disease-free but ironically, disease has become the rule and good health the exception. Under favourable conditions we should live well to be at least one hundred years old. There should be no sudden deaths resulting from the diseases of today. The rules of the game are very simple and the hardest bit is that it is too simple to believe. It's a simple art that can be mastered and used for our well-being. All we need is a rational mind to find the truth and then apply it.

For example, nature is the best healer but instead, we surrender the control of our health to medicines and the doctors. Illness mainly comes from within the body and from our way of thinking. Wrong thinking, Impurities in blood, overeating, indigestion, constipation, insufficient exercise, lack of fresh air, and use of sedatives and stimulants invites diseases. We must educate ourselves out of disease and into health by understanding the signs of approaching trouble. The mental comfort and ease that come from owning of such knowledge is priceless.

In my opinion, theories about disease, its prevention and about germs are debatable. Bacteria or germs can only harm a degenerating body when it is vulnerable and not when it is healthy otherwise everybody would be sick all the time. In other words, disease comes first and the bacteria multiply afterwards.

Good health means harmony of physical, mental and spiritual faculties of life. It's all about doing things in a certain way. If done rightly good health will definitely ensue. The very best in life is cheap if not completely free. A junk meal, a bottle of booze, the fizzy mixer, a packet of cigarettes and the headache remedy for the morning after, cost more than a week's supply of fresh fruits and vegetables.

The chemical composition of blood and lymph depends upon the chemical composition of what we eat and drink and upon the condition of our digestive organs. Purer food, fewer toxins and plentiful essential elements are good for building and repairing cells and tissues.

Sun is source of life and sunlight is vital for living tissues. Body goes through constant changes of construction and destruction, building and repair. If construction exceeds destruction, result is good health. The waste formed by the destruction of tissue, and the toxins must be promptly eliminated from body or disease will develop and spread.

We are a product of nature and only nature and not drugs can solve our problems. I'm not anti- drug but pro-nature. Nature must be given a chance first. Body revolts against drugs and any other unnatural foreign substances.

Never in my life had I dreamt I'd have a heart attack. I thought it was something that happened to other less fortunate people. Like many millions, I was oblivious to what was happening inside me till the volcano erupted. Not knowing and ignoring the symptoms, put my life in serious danger. So much so that I was five hours late going to the hospital and the doctor told me it was nearly too late. Please don't let it happen to your or your loved ones.

Take a closer look at your lifestyle and your internal condition. Go for checkups as if you're a heart attack candidate till tests prove otherwise. Points to watch:-

What is your weight, what's the percentage of fat in it, your blood pressure, cholesterol level, whether you drink excessively, smoke, what you eat and how much you eat, exercise regime, nature of your job, stress and finally how you think.

Have a long and healthy life - Its in your hands!
